We were here for an 80th birthday party and the food was delicious, well presented and very reasonably priced! The service was brilliant and staff were very friendly and funny! I was amazed to learn the staff were all volunteers who run the restaurant and upkeep of the house - which has been beautifully decorated. Will definitely be returning next time I am in Great Harwood. Can't recommend it enough.

What a fantastic historical gem of a place. We had afternoon tea this afternoon with fizz, lovely sandwiches, trifle and cakes and pastries as well as plenty of tea and coffee. All served by wonderful volunteers on beautiful China plates, cup, saucers and cake stands. The room is beautiful and airy and a delight to the eye. Food all home made and delicious. We will definitely come again, thank you for such wonderful service.

I've been here on numerous occasions for a meal. The staff are friendly and always had great service. I've ordered various items from the menu, and I've never been disappointed with the food. I've always reserved a table in advance.

We went for Sunday lunch. Fantastic old-school style home cooking. Roast beef dinner was fabulous, jam roly-poly with custard was lovely. Partner had sea bass then meringue for dessert, said it was really good. All the staff were great, very friendly and helpful. Not expensive either. Recommended!
